We are planning on creating a very professional shoot by using a white back drop, lighting and a good quality SLR camera. Our photography teacher has given us permission to use any equipment we need from his studio. As two of us are photography students, we should hopefully have a great advantage in the shoot. We are going into the shoot with a few basic ideas, but we will improvise and take more photos than we need. This means if we change our mind, we will have extra material to use, instead of having to do a re-run. The shoot will take place Friday 22nd 2010 approx 11am.
We are going to do a very profesional photoshoot by using a white drop background instead of using a natural background such as being outside. We feel this will create the best effect when the photos are mixed with text and other photos on various pages of our magazine. We also think that using a white drop background wll make the photos easy to edit in photo shop, it means that the backgrounds can be completely 'cut out' this should stop the photos looking irregular and ultimiltley stops them looking like theyve been over edited. Furthermore, we will be using proper photography lights and a high megapixel SLR camera to give us the best quality pictures possible, this should enable us to make our magazine look professional. Although neither of us our photography students we have been given hints and tips by other students doing photography and by photography teachers so that our photos look the best they can be and so they do not look armature.
We dont have an exact plan and will mainly use improvisation to obtain our images so they look more natural and relaxed rather than staged and fake. However, for both of our photos we do want something like the poses in the ones below,
Obviously we will be using a white backdrop, better lighting and a better camera quality when we do our actual photoshoot but this helps us to form an idea of what we want our photos to look like and how we want our 'artists' to pose.
We both like the idea of using a front on mid shot of our artists on the front cover so we both need a good one of that pose. Furthermore, a shot of the artist looking in the other direction to give the illusion that we have caught the artist 'off guard' this should also help to make the photos look real and not staged. We also need a photo of our female artist biting her lip, this should help to fit the target audience and to match the pop genre we are portraying, this is because it adds a hint of sexual content to our magazine and overall makes it more interesting.
We will also take many more photos than we actual need so that if we change our minds about a specific pose or a certain photo no longer fits the page of our magazine we can easily choose another one without having to re-shoot more photos. The shoot will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 16th January 2013 approx 12:30.
